Supplemental Health Plans

If you experience a major illness or injury, medical insurance won’t always cover the full cost. That’s where supplemental health benefits like Critical Illness, Accident and Hospital Indemnity insurance can help. These benefits help protect you and your family’s financial security by paying lump sum benefits directly to you, allowing you to use the funds however you choose. You receive the full benefit even if you have other insurance.

Eligibility & Enrollment

Regular-scheduled, full-time employees in the U.S. are eligible for the Supplemental Health Plans. You can enroll in supplemental health coverage as a new hire, during the fall Annual Enrollment, or in conjunction with a qualified life event.

Accident Insurance

Accidents happen, and they can be expensive, even with medical coverage—especially if you’re hospitalized. Accident Insurance can help by paying cash benefits directly to you. The benefit amount varies depending on the nature of the accidental injury and your treatment.

You can purchase coverage for yourself, your spouse or domestic partner, and children.

When you purchase Accident Insurance coverage, you get cash benefits for medical bills that you can use to pay for out-of-pocket medical costs or daily living expenses. Accident Insurance benefits can also be used to pay for accident-related costs besides your medical treatment.

Critical Illness Insurance

Critical Illness Insurance helps provide financial relief from the expenses associated with a serious illness, such as a heart attack, stroke or cancer. Critical Illness benefits are paid as a lump-sum cash benefit when you or a covered family member is diagnosed with a covered illness to give you a financial cushion to help you manage your illness, your way.

Provided by Allstate, you can elect coverage amounts of $10,000, $20,000 or $30,000.

A hospital stay can create financial hardship, especially if money is tight and you’re not prepared. Hospital Indemnity coverage will pay cash benefits in the event you or a covered family member needs to stay in the hospital. Allstate Benefits pays these benefits directly to you and you can use them however you wish—for medical bills, rent or mortgage, living expenses, etc.
